A silicone polymer combining propoxylated and ethoxylated segments with a methyl silicone backbone, used as a conditioning and film-forming agent in skin and hair products.
PPG-10/PEG-10 Methicone is a modified silicone polymer (alkylmethylpolysiloxane) where the silicone backbone is partially substituted with propoxylated (PPG-10) and ethoxylated (PEG-10) side chains. This dual modification provides both water and oil compatibility. Not restricted under EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009. Methicone derivatives are widely used in cosmetics for their film-forming, smoothing, and conditioning properties.
