A concentrated powder from pomegranate fruit, roots, and stems rich in ellagitannins and punicalagins with strong antioxidant activity.

Punica Granatum Fruit/Root/Stem Powder is produced by finely grinding the various parts of the pomegranate plant. The fruit is rich in punicalagins (ellagitannins), ellagic acid, and anthocyanins; the roots contain pelletierine alkaloids. Punicalagins are hydrolysable tannins with exceptionally high ORAC values. Topically they provide antioxidant protection and may inhibit tyrosinase for brightening effects. Some alkaloid content in root/stem fraction may cause mild irritation at high concentrations.
