About
A natural wax from rose (Rosa hybrid) flowers. Nice emollient for balms and lip products; can carry minor rose-scent allergens.
Rosa Hybrid Flower Wax (CAS 93062-88-5) is the floral wax byproduct of rose essential oil/concrete production — it is what remains after hexane or supercritical CO2 extraction and winterization of the rose bouquet. It is composed of long-chain hydrocarbons, fatty esters, sterols, and retains enough volatile rose notes to be lightly aromatic. Used in balms, lip products, and natural-positioning skin care at 0.5-5%. Because it carries trace rose essential oil components, it may contain the EU 26 fragrance allergens geraniol, citronellol, and linalool — declaration is required above threshold. No dedicated CIR review under this INCI.
