About
Ground musk rose seeds — a gentle natural scrub particle that also leaves behind residual rosehip oil and antioxidants.
Rosa Moschata Seed Powder is the finely ground seed of musk rose, closely related to Rosa rubiginosa (the classic Chilean rosehip). The powder contains residual cold-pressed oil rich in linoleic and alpha-linolenic acids, tocopherols, and carotenoids, plus the fibrous seed matrix itself. In cosmetics it functions primarily as a mild mechanical exfoliant in scrubs and masks at 1–10%, with a secondary conditioning benefit from the trapped lipids. No CIR or EU CosIng restrictions. Safety is excellent; the main caveat is particle size — coarse grinds can be abrasive on delicate facial skin.
Skin benefits
- Gentle mechanical exfoliation
- Residual rosehip oil softens skin
- Antioxidant tocopherols
- Biodegradable natural particle
Known concerns
- Coarse grinds can be abrasive
