A natural antioxidant lignan from sesame. Protects formulas from oxidation and supports skin antioxidant defence.
Sesaminol (CAS 74061-79-3) is a lignan derived from sesame seeds and sesame oil processing. It is a potent antioxidant with a food-grade heritage — sesame lignans (sesamin, sesamolin, sesaminol) contribute to sesame oil's exceptional oxidative stability. In cosmetics it is used at trace levels as a formulation antioxidant and for skin benefit claims. No EU Annex II/III restriction; no GHS hazard. Sesame-allergic individuals are a sensitised sub-population and may prefer to avoid even trace sesame-derived ingredients.
