About
Emollient derived from shea butter that nourishes and smooths skin
Shea butter glyceride is the monoglyceride fraction derived from shea butter through enzymatic or chemical glycerolysis. The ingredient consists primarily of glycerol esters of shea butter fatty acids including oleic, stearic, palmitic, and linoleic acids. Shea butter and its derivatives are permitted without restriction under EU Regulation 1223/2009. The monoglyceride structure provides both emollient and mild emulsifying properties with excellent skin compatibility.
Skin benefits
- Rich in fatty acids providing deep moisturization and skin barrier support
- Contains triterpene alcohols unique to shea butter with anti-inflammatory properties
- Non-comedogenic emollient suitable for sensitive and dry skin types
