About
Defatted (fat-free) colostrum — the first-milk biologic, rich in immunoglobulins and growth factors.
Sine adipe colostrum ("without fat colostrum") is colostrum — the first milk produced by mammals (typically bovine) after parturition — with the fat removed. It is rich in immunoglobulins (IgG), lactoferrin, lactoperoxidase, and growth factors (IGF-1, TGF-beta). Used in cosmetics for claimed skin-conditioning and regenerative effects. Animal-origin biologic ingredients require pasteurization, TSE/BSE (prion) controls, and allergen labeling (milk). EU regulations treat bovine-origin materials under ABP Regulation 1069/2009. Dairy-allergic consumers may react to residual milk proteins. No specific CIR opinion on this INCI.
