About

A plant-based imidazoline amphoteric surfactant derived from soy oil, used for its antistatic and conditioning properties in hair and skin products.

Soy Hydroxyethyl Imidazoline (CAS 70024-77-0) is an amphoteric surfactant based on soy fatty acids and hydroxyethyl imidazoline. Like other imidazoline derivatives, it provides antistatic and conditioning benefits primarily in hair care formulations. It is not subject to EU Annex II or III restrictions under Regulation 1223/2009. The soy origin means it may contain trace soy proteins, though the imidazoline derivation process makes protein allergenicity highly unlikely.
