About
A four-amino-acid synthetic peptide esterified with niacin — for skin conditioning. Generally well tolerated; mild flushing possible in sensitive users.
Tetrapeptide-44 Nicotinate is a synthetic tetrapeptide chemically conjugated to nicotinic acid (niacin). The combination is intended to leverage peptide carrier behavior together with the vasoactive/skin-conditioning effects of niacin esters. Niacin esters are well known in topical cosmetics; they can cause transient warmth or flushing in sensitive users at higher percentages but are well tolerated at typical levels. No CIR or SCCS opinion exists. Independent peer-reviewed efficacy data is essentially absent; claims rely on supplier in vitro work.
