About

A cosmetic ingredient. Exercise caution due to limited available safety data.

Toluidines (o-, m-, p-toluidine and derivatives) are aromatic amine intermediates used in dye and pigment manufacturing. They are classified by EU CLP Regulation as H301/H311 (acute toxicity), H317 (skin sensitization), H319 (eye irritation), H331 (acute inhalation toxicity), H351 (carcinogen suspected), H370/H372 (organ toxicity), and H400/H410/H411 (aquatic toxicity). The EU Cosmetics Regulation Annex II Entry prohibits their use in cosmetic products at any concentration ≥0.1%, reflecting the SVHC status of many toluidine isomers.
