Triamcinolone acetonide is a synthetic fluorinated corticosteroid with potent anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive activity. EU hazard classifications include H360 (may damage fertility or the unborn child), H361 (suspected of causing harm to the unborn child), and H372 (causes organ damage). This corticosteroid is restricted to prescription pharmaceutical use and is prohibited in cosmetic products under EU Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 Annex II.
