About
A decapeptide conjugated to Trolox, a water-soluble vitamin-E analogue. Designed as a targeted antioxidant — data is mostly supplier-sourced.
Troloxoyl decapeptide-18 is a proprietary hybrid molecule: a 10-amino-acid peptide covalently linked to Trolox (6-hydroxy-2,5,7,8-tetramethylchroman-2-carboxylic acid), a water-soluble vitamin E analogue valued for antioxidant benchmarking. The peptide anchor is intended to extend residence on skin while the Trolox head quenches radicals. Short peptides carry minimal irritation risk and Trolox itself has a benign toxicology profile, but the combined entity has not been evaluated by CIR or SCCS. Use levels are typically in the ppm range. Formulation stability is a real concern: the chroman ring oxidises readily, so packaging and antioxidant synergists matter.
