About
Tyrosol is a cosmetic ingredient. Exercise caution due to limited available safety data.
Tyrosol is a phenylethyl alcohol derivative found in olive oil and olive mill waste water. It has been extensively studied for its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and cardioprotective properties. Carries mild H315/H319/H335 classifications (irritation), but these are at higher concentrations than typically used in cosmetics. The SCCS has evaluated similar phenolic antioxidants and found them safe at cosmetic concentrations.
