About

Nanocarrier vesicles from ginger root cell cultures loaded with gingerols that deliver warming antioxidant benefits to the skin.

Zingiber Officinale Root Extracellular Vesicles are secreted by cultured ginger root cells into the culture medium. The vesicles contain [6]-gingerol, [6]-shogaol, zingiberene, and related gingerol derivatives as the active payload. These compounds are potent NF-κB pathway inhibitors providing anti-inflammatory activity. [6]-Gingerol is also a TRPV1 agonist producing a warming sensation. The EV membrane facilitates penetration of these lipophilic compounds into skin.
