About

A C1–C4 alkane mixture rich in C3 (propane/propylene) that carries butadiene contamination above the regulatory threshold, rendering it prohibited for any cosmetic application.

A C3-rich light alkane blend (C1–C4) sourced from refinery gas processing, carrying a conditional butadiene specification above 0.1% w/w. Butadiene at this concentration is classified CMR Cat 1A under EU Regulation 1223/2009 Annex II, making the use of this substance in cosmetics illegal throughout the EU regardless of the final concentration achieved in the product formulation.
