Ammonium Capryleth Sulfate is the ammonium salt of an ethoxylated capryl (octyl) alcohol sulfate, functioning as an anionic surfactant and cleansing agent in cosmetic products. The capryl (C8) chain provides good grease-cutting ability while being milder than C10–C14 homologues. EU Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 does not restrict this ingredient in its Annexes. The ingredient carries a PubChem safety-related score of 78.
