About
A urethane-acrylate hybrid where HPMA-tipped polycaprolactone/butanediol chains are linked by IPDI — once cured under UV it gives nails a tough glossy wear-resistant film. Cured polymer is inert; uncured methacrylate end-groups are the sensitiser risk.
Function
Skin benefits
- Glossy long-wear nail and skin films
- Combines flexibility of polycaprolactone with toughness of urethanes
- Photo-curable end-groups give clean cure profile
Known concerns
- Reactive HPMA end-groups can sensitise if cured incorrectly
- Residual IPDI isocyanate must be controlled at manufacture
- Less skin-penetration risk once polymerised
