About
A close cousin of the butanediol variant — HPMA-capped polycaprolactone-hexanediol chains crosslinked through IPDI. Hexanediol adds a touch more flexibility to the cured film. Same sensitiser caveat for uncured methacrylate ends.
Function
Skin benefits
- Tough glossy films for nail and long-wear cosmetics
- Hexanediol segment gives slightly softer flex than butanediol variant
- Once cured it is essentially inert
Known concerns
- Reactive HPMA methacrylate end-groups are documented sensitisers
- Residual IPDI isocyanate must be controlled at manufacture
- Mostly relevant to nail-tech exposure rather than skin
