About

A modified dimethicone with candelilla wax fatty acid esters and 12 moles of ethylene oxide; used for hair and skin conditioning as an emollient.

A silicone-polymer derivative: dimethicone partially esterified with Candelilla wax fatty acids and end-blocked with an average of 12 moles of ethylene oxide (PEG-12). The PEG modification increases water solubility while the candelilla wax component provides emollient properties. Not restricted in EU Annex II or III. PEG-modified silicones are widely used in cosmetic emulsions and are considered safe for topical application at this ethoxylation level.
