About

A medium-to-long chain alkyl conditioning agent that provides effective softening and detangling for hair, particularly in rinse-off formulations.

This ingredient contains a C14-20 isoalkyl chain (branched fatty alkyl group) attached via an amidopropyl linker to an ethyldimonium ethosulfate. The medium chain length provides good balance between substantivity and ease of rinse-out. It is not listed in EU Annex II or III and is permitted in cosmetic products. The ethosulfate counterion is mild and the isoalkyl chain is derived from natural fatty acid sources.

Skin benefits

  • Conditions and softens hair effectively
  • Provides good detangling performance
