About
A cadmium salt — EU-banned in cosmetics and a known human carcinogen. Do not use.
Cadmium iodide (CAS 7790-80-9) is an inorganic cadmium(II) salt. It shares the full cadmium toxicology profile — IARC Group 1 human carcinogen, EU CLP Carc. 1B/Muta. 2/Repr. 2, and EU Cosmetics Regulation Annex II entry 130 prohibits cadmium and its compounds in cosmetic products. There is no legitimate cosmetic use case; the historical entry should be treated as an INCI database artifact.
