About
A C12-15 alkyl ether phosphate with lower ethoxylation (6 mol EO) that functions as an emulsifier and cleanser, broadly safe in cosmetic use with mild irritation potential.
Di-C12-15 Alketh-6 Phosphate is the 6-mole ethylene oxide variant of the C12-15 alkyl ether phosphate series. Shorter ethoxylation chains generally result in better rinsability but can increase irritation potential compared to higher ethoxylated variants. It is not restricted under EU cosmetics regulation and is used in both rinse-off and leave-on cosmetic formulations as a surfactant and emulsifier.
Function
Skin benefits
- Efficient emulsification at low use levels
- Good cleansing performance in rinse-off products
Known concerns
- Mild skin and eye irritation possible
