About
A phosphate-based emulsifying surfactant with good skin compatibility in rinse-off and leave-on formulations, similar to other alkyl ether phosphates in the C12-15 range.
Di-C12-15 Alketh-8 Phosphate is a diester of phosphoric acid with a C12-15 ethoxylated alcohol containing an average of 8 moles of ethylene oxide. Phosphate surfactants are permitted in EU cosmetic products and are not listed in any annex of Regulation EC 1223/2009. They are considered low irritants in rinse-off products and mildly irritating in leave-on formulations, with the ethoxylation degree influencing the overall irritation profile.
