Fragaria chiloensis fruit juice is expressed from the beach strawberry, Rosaceae family. Contains vitamin C, ellagic acid, and cyanidin glycosides at levels comparable to garden strawberry. EU CosIng lists Fragaria-derived ingredients without restrictions. The species is ancestral to the cultivated strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa) and shares its excellent safety profile.
