About
Nanocarrier vesicles from licorice root cell cultures carrying glycyrrhizin and flavonoids that soothe inflammation and brighten the skin.
Glycyrrhiza Uralensis Root Extracellular Vesicles are secreted by cultured root cells into the growth medium. These EVs encapsulate glycyrrhizin, liquiritin, isoliquiritigenin, and various flavonoids characteristic of licorice root. The vesicular structure enhances dermal delivery of these anti-inflammatory compounds. Glycyrrhizin modulates the HPA axis pathway and inhibits 5-lipoxygenase. Liquiritin is a known tyrosinase inhibitor for hyperpigmentation reduction.
