About
Conditioned culture media from human-derived neural stem cells. Ethically and biologically problematic — strongly advised to avoid.
This ingredient is the spent culture medium harvested from neural stem cells that were induced from human bone-marrow stem cells. It is marketed for cosmetic use as a complex source of growth factors, cytokines, and exosomal signaling molecules. Use of human-derived cellular material in cosmetics raises serious ethical, regulatory, and quality-control concerns: many jurisdictions restrict it under tissue-donation, biotech, or bioethics frameworks, and there is no SCCS or CIR safety substantiation specific to this material. Biologically, applying undefined growth-factor cocktails to skin carries theoretical risks of stimulating unintended cell proliferation, including in dysplastic tissue. Sterility, donor screening, and batch-to-batch consistency are very difficult to verify in a cosmetic supply chain.
