Hydrocodone (4,5α-epoxy-3-methoxy-17-methylmorphinan-6-one) is a phenanthrene-type opioid with high abuse potential and risks of respiratory depression, sedation, and dependence. It is controlled under the UN Single Convention on Psychotropic Substances and listed on EU Annex II as a prohibited narcotic for cosmetic use. Any cosmetic product containing an opioid analgesic would be in serious violation of both cosmetics and narcotics regulations.
