About
A floral water from fringed lavender — light hydration plus a characteristic lavender note. Contains linalool, an EU-labelled fragrance allergen.
Lavandula dentata (French / fringed lavender) water is the aqueous distillate produced during steam distillation of the flowers. It carries residual monoterpene volatiles, chiefly linalool, 1,8-cineole, and camphor, in low concentration. It functions as a fragrance and skin-conditioning agent in cosmetics. The presence of linalool (and often limonene) triggers EU Regulation 1223/2009 Annex III labelling requirements above 0.001% in leave-on / 0.01% in rinse-off. Oxidised linalool is a documented contact sensitiser.
