Monocrotophos is a broad-spectrum organophosphate insecticide that inhibits acetylcholinesterase, causing致死 neurological effects at low doses. It is listed in EU Regulation 1223/2009 Annex II (prohibited substances) as an extremely hazardous pesticide with no place in cosmetic formulations. Its use in cosmetics would constitute a serious regulatory violation, and any detected presence would trigger product recall and safety alert procedures.
