About
An ethoxylated phytostanol that provides excellent emolliency and barrier enhancement similar to other sterol derivatives.
PEG-25 Phytostanol is the polyethylene glycol ether of phytostanol (the saturated derivative of phytosterol). Phytostanol is naturally occurring in plant sterols such as from soybean and tall oils. The ethoxylation at 25 mol EO provides both water solubility and emollient properties. It is not restricted in EU cosmetics regulation and is generally regarded as safe for cosmetic use.
