About
A specialty emollient combining PEG, proline, and omega-6 linoleic acid — moisturises while delivering skin-barrier-supporting fatty acids.
PEG-4 Proline Linoleate is a polyethylene glycol ester incorporating L-proline and linoleic acid (an omega-6 essential fatty acid) with 4 moles of ethylene oxide. Like its linolenate counterpart, it functions as an emollient and skin-conditioning agent. Linoleic acid is a key component of ceramides in the stratum corneum, making this ingredient particularly relevant for barrier repair. The low degree of ethoxylation minimises 1,4-dioxane contamination concerns. No GHS hazards or EU restrictions are listed.
