Fine
Derived from EU CosIng regulatory status, PubChem hazard data and published research. How we score.
An emulsifier or cleansing helper that improves texture and rinse-off. Usually fine in well-made formulas, but it can bother very sensitive skin or eyes.
PEG-50 GLYCERYL TRIISOSTEARATE is an alkoxylated surfactant or emulsifier used to help oils disperse, improve cleansing, or stabilize emulsions. The main safety issue is formulation-dependent irritation, especially around the eyes or on damaged skin, and ethoxylated materials also require tight control of residual processing impurities such as ethylene oxide and 1,4-dioxane. In normal finished products it is usually acceptable, but it is not one of the gentlest ingredient classes.
