A low-ethoxylated PEG diester of stearic acid used as a solubilizer and conditioning agent in a wide range of cosmetic products. Long history of safe use in both leave-on and rinse-off formulations.
PEG-6 Distearate is the polyethylene glycol (6 mol EO) diester of stearic acid functioning as a nonionic surfactant, solubilizer, and skin-conditioning agent in cosmetic products. It is not restricted under EU Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009. The relatively low EO content gives it some lipophilic character, making it suitable for incorporation in the oil phase of emulsions.
Skin benefits
