About
A sympathomimetic pharmaceutical — never a cosmetic ingredient. It is on the WADA prohibited list and has no legitimate skincare use.
Pholedrine sulfate (CAS 6114-26-7) is a para-methyl homologue of methamphetamine used historically as a sympathomimetic amine and diagnostic ophthalmic agent. It raises blood pressure via alpha-adrenergic action and is prohibited in sport by WADA. It is not a permitted cosmetic ingredient in the EU or US. Any listing in a cosmetic database is an error or misidentification. Topical absorption would produce undesirable systemic cardiovascular effects; there is no cosmetic scenario that justifies its presence.
