About
A rare sugar that works as a humectant, helping pull water toward the skin with very low expected topical risk.
Psicose, also called allulose, is a low-molecular-weight sugar that can behave as a humectant by helping bind water in the formula and at the skin surface. Sugars of this type are generally low concern in topical use, with the main downside being that they are less extensively used in cosmetics than core humectants like glycerin.
