About
Pyrus cydonia (Quince) seed powder — a plant-derived powder used to soften and condition the skin.
Pyrus cydonia (quince) seed powder is derived from the seeds of Cydonia oblonga (quince tree). The seeds contain mucilaginous polysaccharides that swell in water, providing excellent emollient and film-forming properties. Quince seed has a long history of use in traditional cosmetics and skin preparations. No EU Annex restrictions apply to quince seed powder. The seed is not a major allergen and is considered highly safe for topical use.
