About
A lab-made peptide used to condition skin and support a smoother, more refined feel.
sr-(Methionyl sh-Polypeptide-130 Dipeptide-19 Hexapeptide-40) is a single chain recombinant peptide, produced by fermentation in E. coli. The starting gene is synthesized by the fusion of the genes from sh-Polypeptide-130, Dipeptide-19 and Hexapeptide-40 with the initiation code for methionine. The fusion peptide contains 175 amino acids which may contain disulfide bonds and/or glycosylation, and consists of the proper sequence of the 20 standard amino acids. As a synthetic or recombinant peptide, it is typically used at very low levels and is generally considered low risk, though human data are often limited compared with older staple ingredients.
