About
Finely ground thyme leaves and stems, a botanical ingredient with antioxidant and antimicrobial properties for skincare.
Thymus Vulgaris Leaf/Stem Powder is the dried, ground aerial parts of Thymus vulgaris (common thyme). The powder contains all botanical constituents including the essential oil components (thymol, carvacrol, linalool), flavonoids (apigenin, luteolin), rosmarinic acid, and tannins. Under EU Regulation 1223/2009, dried thyme botanical is a permitted ingredient. The dried powder form provides more concentrated bioactives than the water extract, with extended shelf stability. The powder can function as a natural antioxidant and antimicrobial agent in formulations.
