A conditioning agent derived from animal tallow (dimer fatty acids) used in hair care products for its excellent softening and detangling properties.

Di-(tallow-acyloxypropyl)dimethylammonium chloride (DITALLOWOYL PG-DIMONIUM CHLORIDE) is a quaternary ammonium conditioning agent where the fatty acid chains derive from tallow. Not listed in EU Annex restrictions under Regulation 1223/2009, it provides excellent softening, detangling, and antistatic effects in rinse-off hair products. The tallow origin requires consideration for vegetarian/vegan formulations and allergen labeling under EU Regulation 1169/2011 for ingredients derived from allergens.
