Fenoterol is a synthetic beta-2 selective adrenergic agonist used as a bronchodilator in asthma and COPD treatment. Like other catecholamine derivatives, it carries significant cardiovascular risks including tachycardia, palpitations, and potential arrhythmia. As a pharmaceutical substance with systemic pharmacological effects, it falls outside the scope of EU cosmetics regulation EC 1223/2009.
