About

Gardenia fruit water — a fragrant botanical hydrosol with soothing and skin-conditioning properties.

Gardenia jasminoides fruit water is obtained by steam distillation of gardenia fruit. The hydrosol contains aromatic compounds including linalool and benzyl acetate. Gardenia extract has been used traditionally for its anti-inflammatory and soothing properties. Some gardenia species have been associated with mild toxicity in animal studies, but G. jasminoides is widely used in perfumery and cosmetics with a good safety record.
