Glycereth-26 Phosphate is a cosmetic ingredient used in product formulations. Exercise caution due to limited available safety data.
Glycereth-26 Phosphate is a polyglycerol ether phosphate with 26 mol EO. The phosphate group provides some amphoteric character and can act as a secondary surfactant. EU Regulation 1223/2009 permits phosphoric acid esters in cosmetics. The high degree of ethoxylation (26 EO) means water solubility is excellent. Purity testing for residual ethylene oxide and 1,4-dioxane is required. Not listed in EU Annex II or III.

- Skin conditioning and emollient properties
- Provides good foaming characteristics in cleansers
Known concerns
- Phosphate ingredients may affect environmental footprint
- Residual ethylene oxide and 1,4-dioxane concerns
