Hexadecalactone (also called omega-hexadecalactone or 16-hexadecalactone) is a macrocyclic lactone with 16 carbon atoms in the ring. It occurs naturally in some plant species and is used in perfumery and cosmetics as a fragrance ingredient, contributing a sweet, coconut-like odor.
