Lysergide (LSD) is one of the most potent psychoactive substances known, classified as a CMR substance (Carcinogenic, Mutagenic, toxic for Reproduction Category 1B) and listed on EU Annex II (prohibited substances) of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009. Its hazard profile under CLP Regulation 1272/2008 is extremely severe, including H300, H310, H330 (acute toxicity), H304 (aspiration hazard), H314 (severe skin burns), H335, H351, H225, H250, and H400.
