Methylallyl angelate (2-methylallyl 2-methylbut-2-enoate) is an ester of methylallyl alcohol and angelic acid. It is used as a fragrance ingredient and is not listed in EU CosIng Annex III restrictions. No GHS hazard classifications are assigned. Under Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 it is subject to standard fragrance allergen declaration requirements when present above 0.01% in leave-on products. IFRA has found it acceptable at current use levels.
