About
Proteins derived from milk — they help condition and soften skin, but may not be suitable for those with dairy allergies.
Milk Protein Extract is a mixture of bovine milk proteins including casein and whey, rich in essential amino acids. The CIR Expert Panel found hydrolyzed milk protein safe for cosmetic use. FDA considers it GRAS. At 5% concentration, it is neither a photoirritant nor photosensitizer. It provides sustained amino acid delivery for collagen synthesis and skin barrier repair. Caution advised for individuals with dairy allergies, though Type I hypersensitivity from cosmetic use is considered unlikely.
