About

A cosmetic ingredient used in product formulations. Its specific function may vary between products. Exercise caution due to limited available safety data.

Furmecyclox (ISO common name) is a systemic fungicide used in agriculture for crop protection. Its hazard profile is severe: H351 classifies it as a suspected carcinogen (IARC Group 2B), H400 and H410 indicate it is very toxic to aquatic organisms with long-lasting effects. The cyclohexyl and furanamide substructures are not compatible with cosmetic skin application from a regulatory or toxicological standpoint. This compound is not authorised, listed, or assessed for cosmetic use in the EU and should not appear in any skincare formulation.
