About
A lipophilic-modified peptide combining a pentapeptide with palmitic acid and a aminopropyl diglycolpropylamine moiety, designed for enhanced skin penetration and anti-aging benefits.
This ingredient is a synthetic palmitoylated peptide consisting of Pentapeptide-17 modified at the N-terminus with palmitic acid (C16 fatty acid) and at the C-terminus with Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol. The lipidation with palmitic acid significantly improves the peptide's affinity for the skin's lipid bilayers and cell membranes, enhancing penetration compared to non-lipidated peptides. The EU cosmetics regulation does not restrict palmitoylated peptides as a class. Palmitic acid is a naturally occurring fatty acid (component of human stratum corneum lipids) with an excellent safety record. The cosmetic function is skin conditioning; no unsafe fragments or sequences are present in the Pentapeptide-17 component.
Function
