Derived from EU CosIng regulatory status, PubChem hazard data and published research. How we score.
A sweetened liquefied petroleum gas containing butadiene above the 0.1% threshold, banned from cosmetic use under EU CMR rules.
This is a sweetened liquefied petroleum gas stream containing >0.1% w/w 1,3-butadiene. Sweetening (desulfurization) does not remove butadiene. Butadiene is a Category 1B mutagen (H340) and Category 1 carcinogen (H350) under EU CLP Regulation 1272/2008. The EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009 prohibits CMR Category 1A/1B substances from cosmetic products, making this stream banned regardless of the sweetening process applied.
