A synthetic texture booster that forms a film and improves product feel or stability.
Polyurethane-83 is a urethane polymer prepared by reacting poly(1,4-Butanediol)-15 and Bisphenol A Bis-(2-Hydroxypropyl) Ether with Toluene Diisocyanate. The resulting polymer is then capped with a mixture of HEMA and Hydroxypropyl Methacrylate. This polymer mainly changes texture, slip, and film formation rather than acting as a direct skincare active, and topical systemic exposure is generally expected to be low.
